“Inspirational”, “motivating” and “refreshing” are a few of the words used by many to describe the music of Antonia Lawrence. For Antonia, music is about service — to God and to those whose lives might be changed by the power of a song. Every note is given freely, with nothing asked in return other than a willingness to open one’s heart and listen. Antonia has a passion to lead others in the experience of authentic worship.
Antonia has a unique multicultural background. She was born in Manchester, England, her parents are Jamaican and she was raised in Canada. Her music and message crosses cultural and generational boundaries. She is a versatile artist who displays her range of musical style from silky R & B ballads, sophisticated jazz, Hip-Hop, and reggae.
She brings the richness of her multicultural background and life experience to her music. Antonia gratefully celebrates the power of music, with every note she radiates a positive energy that connects with her listeners. Her message comes from the heart, and her energy empowers; her goal is to write and perform from an authentic place, heart centered music that inspires, encourages, empowers and refreshes the listener for the ups and downs of life’s journey.
Antonia has over 25 years of experience as a singer, songwriter, worship leader and speaker and during this time she has helped many churches and organizations take their events, gatherings and meetings to another level with her gift of music. She has traveled nationally and internationally sharing her gift at different churches, networking events, women’s conferences, worship conferences and workshops. She is also a considered a teacher and mentor to up and coming worship leaders.
Antonia has traveled worldwide sharing her gift at different events, churches and conferences. She has traveled as far as England, Brazil, the Caribbean Islands, and beyond, on a wide range of music and worship projects and a teacher for the International Worship Institute.
She has had the privilege of working with some of the leading artists in the field, such as Isreal Houghton, Martha Manuzzi, Darlene Zchech of Hillsong, Australia, Babbie Mason, Ron Kenoly and Alvin Slaughter.
She has also worked with such organizations as the Children’s Miracle Network, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Hosea Williams-Feed the Hungry and Unite Atlanta. Antonia has been graciously recognized for her accomplishments and awaits more through her dedication and hard work
both People You Need to Know magazine and the Gospel Choice Awards have honored her, thus far.
Antonia has extensive experience as Vocal Director and Worship Leader at churches such as Victory World Church in Norcross, Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA and . She currently directs the worship at Eagles Nest Church with Pastor Lee Jenkins and works with In Touch Ministries, the ministry of Dr. Charles Stanley. Antonia Lawrence is a resident of Atlanta, GA and the President of Fresh Rain Music.
